The Cedars

Cedars Care Home is found in the suburb of Balby in Doncaster in a quiet residential area with easy access to transport links.

The Home has been designed with personalised care in mind and is therefore divided into two houses, Cedar House providing the highest level of residential care and Cedar Lodge which specialises in dementia care and has been designed with this in mind.

With tastefully decorated bedrooms and all with en-suite facilities. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with pictures, trinkets and ornaments.

Residents at The Cedars can relax and socialise in the TV lounges provided. There are also separate dining rooms, where residents can enjoy each others company whilst dining. Delicious meals served with daily menu choices available. Special diets can be catered for.

Activities play a vital part in the day to day running of the home, and in addition to singers and entertainers being provided, the home also has various day to day activities provided by our own in-house activity coordinators.

The Cedars is proud to be awarded a “Good” rating by Doncaster Council.

Claire joined the Cedars team in 2016 and stepped up to the role as home manager in January 2025.

Claire is always available to welcome families, friends, visitors and new residents, ready to offer a show round and answer those important questions that families may have when choosing a care home for their loved one. Claire leads the staff team to create a truly great place for their residents to live and maintain their independence.

Claire and all the team at Cedars love to meet new people, so why not pop in and enjoy a cuppa and a chat?

How to find The Cedars

After exiting the A1 at exit 36, Take the A630 exit towns Doncaster town centre. Turn right on Wardle avenue. Then right again onto Cedar Road. The Cedars is located hallway down Cedar road.
